1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or booking services with Handy Shine LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.

2. Services

Handy Shine LLC provides residential and commercial cleaning services within California. All services are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

3. Estimates & Scope of Work

  • All estimates are based on information provided by the client.

  • Final pricing may change if the actual condition, size, or scope differs.

  • Additional services requested on-site may result in additional charges.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for unsafe or unsanitary conditions.

4. Booking & Payment Terms

  • Payment is due before or upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We may require a valid credit or debit card on file to secure bookings.

  • By providing payment information, you authorize Handy Shine LLC to charge applicable fees, including cancellation or late fees.

  • Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month (or the maximum allowed by California law).

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged up to 50% of the service cost.

  • Same-day cancellations or failure to provide access may be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost, to the extent permitted by California law.

6. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:

  • The environment poses a health or safety risk

  • There is illegal activity on the premises

  • The condition of the property is significantly misrepresented

7. Access to Property

Clients must provide safe and timely access to the property. If access is not provided:

  • A lockout fee may be charged

  • The appointment may be canceled and billed accordingly

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide a safe working environment in compliance with applicable California laws

  • Secure pets or notify us in advance

  • Remove or protect fragile, high-value, or irreplaceable items

  • Disclose any hazardous conditions (e.g., mold, biohazards, pests)

9. Satisfaction Guarantee (Right to Cure)

If you are dissatisfied:

  • You must notify us within 24 hours of service completion

  • We will be given the opportunity to re-perform the service (“right to cure”) before any refund is considered

10. Damage & Limitation of Liability

  • Handy Shine LLC is insured and exercises reasonable care in providing services.

  • Any damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of service.

To the fullest extent permitted under California law:

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by faulty or improper installation of items.

  • Our liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by California law.

11. Independent Contractor Status

Handy Shine LLC operates as an independent service provider. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship with clients.

12. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use this website in violation of any applicable California, federal, or local law

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

  • Copy or distribute website content without permission

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including logos, branding, text, and images, is the property of Handy Shine LLC and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

14. Privacy (California Privacy Rights)

We respect your privacy and comply with applicable California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) where applicable.

  • California residents may have rights to access, delete, or correct their personal information.

15. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally.

  • If unresolved, disputes may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under California law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.

19. Photo & Video Consent for Marketing

By using our services, you grant Handy Shine LLC permission to take photographs and/or videos of areas within the property for the purpose of documenting “before and after” results.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing personally identifiable information, including individuals, personal documents, family photos, or sensitive items.

  • Photos and videos will focus on cleaning results (e.g., surfaces, rooms, fixtures).

By agreeing to these Terms, you grant Handy Shine LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, and display such images and videos for lawful marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Website content

  • Social media platforms

  • Online advertisements

  • Printed marketing materials

Opt-Out Option:
Clients may opt out of photo/video use at any time by providing written notice prior to the scheduled service. We will honor all reasonable opt-out requests.

No Compensation:
Clients acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for the use of such images or videos.

Privacy Commitment:
Handy Shine LLC will not intentionally disclose client names, addresses, or other personal identifying information in connection with any marketing materials without separate written consent.
